WP Pumping station for make-up water for the circulating water supply channel with a concrete tank for JSC “YANGI ANGREN IES”.

The Angren TPP is part of the united energy system of Uzbekistan. It is intended for electricity and heat supply to Angren and other districts of the Tashkent region. The installed capacity of the power plant is 393 MW. The main purpose of the project was to provide the recycling water supply channel of the thermal power plant with make-up water from the Akhangaran River; to create the possibility of accumulating water in a volume that provides a seven-day consumption for evaporation of the recycling channel; using advanced technologies; performing hydrological calculations; developing draft drawings and diagrams; organization of complex mechanization and automation of production processes.

The project is aimed at improving the water supply of the Novo-Angren Thermal Power Plant (Yangi-Angren IES) by taking water from the Angren River (Akhangaran), and creating the possibility of accumulating a 7-day supply of water in a reservoir built from local gravel soils.

The purpose of the task was to carry out geotechnical calculations and modeling to determine the optimal design of the sides of the tank, including:

  • modeling of filtration through the base and sides of the tank;
  • calculation of the stability of the sides of the tank;
  • development of recommendations on the optimal design of the tank;
  • development of recommendations on the technology of work production.
