In 2023, Alterra Teams began collaborating on an international project with FCG Finnish Consulting Group Oy, which has been operating under the name Cowater International Finland since 2024.
The project is aimed at supporting the implementation of key elements of the Water Resources Management and Irrigation Sector Development Strategy of the Republic of Uzbekistan for 2024–2026.
Within the scope of this assignment, specialists carried out the following activities:
- Support for the implementation of the new National Water Strategy for 2024–2026.
- Collection, processing, and systematization of necessary data to assess the current situation and develop recommendations.
- Development and implementation of a work plan for the management of water and land resources.
- Assessment of water-use efficiency, as well as support in organizing and conducting capacity-building and training activities.
- Participation in the preparation of program documentation, including reports, analytical materials, presentations, workshops, and other project-related events.
This report is accompanied by appendices containing additional materials, methodological documents, and working papers developed during the implementation of the project.
