This project is aimed at improving the water supply of the Novo-Angren thermal power plant, using water intake from the Angren River, and creating the possibility of accumulating a 7-day supply of water in a reservoir built from local gravel soils. The main task for our specialists was to perform all necessary work on hydrological and hydraulic modeling and creation of detailed design of the water intake structure from the Angren River into the canal, to supply water to the water tanks of the Novo-Angren thermal power plant, including the hydrology study, hydraulic modeling of the Angren River, and the development of detailed design of water intake structures and metal structures (gates).
Another objective of the assignment was to perform geotechnical calculations and modeling to determine the optimal design of the tank slopes, including:
-modeling of filtration through the foundation and slopes of the tank;
-stability analysis of the tank slopes;
-development of recommendations on the optimal design of the tank;
-development of recommendations on the construction technology
