CAREC Water Pillar Project

The Central Asia Regional Economic Cooperation (CAREC) program is a partnership of 11 countries, including 5 Central Asian countries, Afghanistan, Pakistan, China, Mongolia, Azerbaijan, and Georgia. This program was established by the ADB in 1997 to promote economic cooperation between the countries of the region.

The purpose of this assignment is to conduct preliminary feasibility studies of three potential projects to create a climate-resilient, productive and water-safe region with shared benefits for the States and communities of all Central Asian countries.

Description of the actual services provided by our employees as part of the assignment:
– Support in the selection evaluation of candidate projects and pre-feasibility studies of selected projects;
– Preparation of the technical part of the preliminary feasibility studies;
– Collection of baseline gender data related to candidate projects, including their vulnerability to climate impacts;
– Provision of gender data for pre-feasibility studies, including preliminary estimates required by the ADB’s social security policy.
