ALTERRA has successfully completed a project analyzing engineering surveys and design solutions for the construction and reconstruction of dams under the Climate Resilient Water Resources Development Project Phase-1 (KAZ1030).
The work included reviewing hydrological calculations, structural design solutions for hydraulic structures, and automated monitoring systems, covering sites in the Zhambyl and West Kazakhstan regions as well as the Karaūzyak canal.
The review confirmed the technical validity of the projects, identified potential risks, and provided recommendations to enhance the reliability and climate resilience of reservoirs, ensuring safe operation and sustainable development of water infrastructure in the face of climate change.
